Troy Police were seeking a clues to a shooting that occurred about 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

Sgt. Benny Scarbrough said police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Orion Street. They found the victim had been shot in the rear leg by an unknown black male, Scarbrough said.

“The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment,” he added.

The case was still under investigation.
