Thomas enjoyes success

Former Goshen High School volleyball standout Kati Thomas, has enjoyed a very successful season in her first year as a freshman at Wallace State-Hanceville, located in North Alabama near Cullman. Kati earned a starting position and finished the regular season with 152 kills, 97 sets, 45 digs and a combined total of 43 blocks.

Wallace-Hanceville is 38-2 on the season and they avenged their only two loses to teams from Indiana and North Caroling on the same day, beating both teams in straight sets 3-0. They only lost eight sets all year and beat their opponents by a total of 116-8. During the season they played in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama.

Wallace-Hanceville won the regular season conference and hosted the Region 22 District  L Championship on October 28-30. They won the tournament in three games in straight sets.

Wallace state-Hanceville will now advance to play in the Divison 1 National junior Communityc College Championship, where 16 teams from across the country will compete for a National title in Casper Wyoming on November 17-19.
