Troy falls to South Carolina in World Series

After losing in game one to North Carolina, the Troy 8U offense fell to South Carolina 8-4 in game two on Saturday afternoon.

After taking an early 4-2 lead in the first inning, South Carolina scored five runs in the fourth to run away with the win.

Troy had an RBI triple by Dru Jinright and an RBI double by Connor Sanders in the four-run first inning.

Cope Russell, Jinright and Cole Davis each had two hits for Troy in the loss.

The loss drops Troy into the consolation bracket.
