Bulldogs match win total

The Pike County Bulldogs traveled to Jack to take on rival Zion Chapel on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs sent two pitchers to the mound and picked up an 8-3 win over the hosting Rebels.

The win for the Bulldogs improves their record on the season to 5-11, which evens up last year’s win total when they went 5-20.

“Being able to match last season’s win total despite only having one senior and losing two key starters to injury says a lot about this team’s resiliency,” said Bulldogs head coach Taylor Barnes. “However we are not satisfied with just matching the win total from last season. Our focus now shifts to our final area series against Daleville starting this Thursday.”
