Patriots score 11 first-inning runs in 16-0 win over Graceville

The Pike Patriots remained unbeaten after they knocked off Graceville 16-0 in three innings during the Hits for Heroes event in Dothan on Tuesday night.
The win for the Patriots improves their record on the season 5-0.
Nate Renfroe got the start for the Patriots. Renfroe pitched two innings and allowed just two hits and struck out six batters.
Jade Sikes pitched the final inning without allowing a hit and had one strikeout.
The Patriots finished with seven hits by seven different batters. Cason Murphree, Trevor Barron, Renfroe, Cody Hollis, Davis Allen, Drew Nelson, Wood Jinright, Cole McWhorter and Jacquavian Johnson all had a hit for the Patriots.
The Patriots scored 11 of their 16 runs in the first inning.
The Patriots got RBIs from Renfroe, McWhorter, Allen and Hollis.
After a scoreless top of the second inning, the Patriots scored five more runs in the bottom of the second.
Nelson doubled to right to score Allen for the innings first run. Murphree and Nelson came around to score on an error off the bat of Renfroe. Wood Jinright tripled in Renfroe and came around to score on a wild pitch making it 16-0.
