Mr. and Mrs. D. Don Spradley, Jr. of Troy, announce the engagement of

their daughter, Amelia, to Tanner Tyus Shelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. James

Phillip Shelley of Dothan.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Captain Bruel Davis (ret), Mrs.

Geraldine Dykes Davis and Mr. & Mrs. Don Spradley, Sr. all of Brundidge.

Amelia is a 2009 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts School and 2013 graduate of

Auburn University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in

Agriculture Business and Economics. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority.

Amelia is employed with ALFA insurance in Dothan.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. James L. “Spud”

Shelley of Tumbleton and maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Rodger

of Slapout and the late Mr. Johnnie W. Tyus, Sr.

Tanner is a 2008 graduate of Northside Methodist Academy and 2013 graduate

of Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in

Business Administration. He is a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Tanner is

presently employed with ServisFirst Bank in Dothan.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church in

Troy at 6 p.m.
