Blu-Properties has more in mind than just selling property.

Making the buying and selling process comfortable for everyone involved is the goal of the new real estate company.

“We want to provide a comfortable experience for the buyers and the sellers,” said Ty Sims, owner of Blu-Properties.

Sims first started Blu-Properties in Florida around 2005 and started to see a need to fill a niche in Troy.

Blu-Properties recently opened an office located at 801 Elba Highway.

“We see Troy as a growing town with endless opportunities,” Sims said.

With Troy being close to Florida, Blu-Properties also brings the opportunity for Troy residents to broaden the search for real estate and help bring more business prospects to the area.

“We do not just deal with one side of real estate. We deal with every aspect,” Sims said.

From residential to commercial and industrial, Blu-Properties can provide a multitude of services.

“We have the possibility to bring more business to Troy,” Sims said.

“Bringing more business to Troy and helping create jobs is one of our goals.”

Blu-Properties has already helped one business get a foothold in Troy so far, with the help of Troy native and real estate agent Layton Sanders.

Sanders helped bring Truck Customs, a truck customizing shop located on U.S. Highway 231, to Troy.

Every Blu-Properties agent has a specialization, but they can still conduct other real estate tasks.

“We may not be the biggest, but we build a relationship with our clients on trust,” Sanders said. “Everyone at Blu-Properties does what they can do to help.”

Dealing with the commercial business of real estate is only one side of Blu-Properties.

“Everyone has a specific lifestyle in mind when looking for real estate,” said real estate agent Toby Adams.

Adams specializes in finding recreational land, as well as finding an image that best applies to buyers’ lifestyle for the land.

“If the land is for hunting and fishing, or even for a dream home, we can find it,” Adams said.

“We are a family-oriented business and are very excited about being in Troy,” said Blu-Properties broker Lauren Meeks.

Blu-Properties office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Appointments can be set to meet with an agent outside of these times.
