Troy Alltel customers now have more options available for stores now that a new family-owned business has opened on Elba Highway.

Though, at first glance it would seem the store is the same as any other Alltel store, it’s not.

This store is owned and operated by Gary, Brett and Brock Hudson, who are new in town but not to the Alltel service.

“We are new to Troy, but not new to the business,” Gary Hudson said.

“Our family has been in the Alltel business for around seven years.”

While Alltel is a corporation, this business is different.

“The difference in corporate-owned and family-owned Alltel stores, is that we fill the void that corporate can not fill,” Gary said.

Gary said, Corporate officials approach the independent Alltel owners and ask them to come to a town where there needs to be another store location.

After the storeowners check out the location, and if they agree to it, the independent owners will start construction.

“We are here to provide an alternate form of Alltel service,” Gary said.

“All of our stores are exclusively Alltel, dealing only with Alltel-related services and products.”

Gary said from leather cell phone cases to blue tooth accessories, the store offers phones and all the accessories to go with them.

“Our store offers a relaxed atmosphere, where our staff can answer any questions about Alltel services with no problems,” Gary said.

“The store is family-owned, so we are family-oriented, and we strive to provide full service before and after the sell.”

The new family-owned Alltel store is located at 220 Elba Highway and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday.
