Bulldogs fall to Warriors

The sharp-shooting Warriors were too much for the Bulldogs to handle on Thursday, as the home team fell in a 58-30 loss.

Coach Todd Reynolds believed his team was on the verge of turning the corner after a disappointing loss to Abbeville on Tuesday.

“When it’s this kind of year, it’s this kind of year,” he said. “They couldn’t miss. We had people in their face, and they still wouldn’t miss.”

The Warriors knocked down seven of eight free throws and were deadly from outside in the first half, taking a commanding 34-13 lead.

The Warriors converted on nine three-pointers in the game, with no answer by the Bulldogs.

At the start of the fourth quarter, Reynolds offered his time some advice. “I told them … that sometime you play a team that is clicking, and they can beat the Lakers,” Reynolds said. “It was just one of those types of games. In no way in my mind did I envision them coming out shooting like that.”

Three Warrior players finish in double figures including Mia Creech who finished with 20 points. The Bulldogs had just four players get on the board led by Sha’Quavia McKinney who finished with 10.

With the loss the Bulldogs drop to 3-13 on the season and travel to play Daleville on Saturday afternoon.
