Bulldogs knock off Straughn

Pike County finished off region play with a 44-6 win over Straughn on Friday night.

The Bulldogs finish region play with an undefeated record of 7-0 and our 10-0 on the season. The win for the Bulldogs also stretches their region winning streak to 18 games. The last 14 of those games came against their current group of regional opponents.

Daquavious Coleman completed both of his passes for 107 yards and both of them resulted in touchdowns.

Amaghie Lampley hauled in a 68-yard touchdown and Zerathan Caffie had a 39-yard touchdown catch.

The Bulldogs rushed for 410 total yards on Friday night and had two players break the century mark. Darrick Myhand rushed for 200 yards and had three touchdowns, while Rayshawn Reynolds rushed for 124 yards and had two touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, Omarion Florence an Avery Lee led the team with six tackles. K’Ahriyus Pennington had an interception and blocked a punt.

The Bulldogs will close out the regular season next Friday night when they host Sweet Water.
