Lady Patriots sweep Crenshaw Christian

The Pike Lady Patriots returned to Troy for their first of three-straight home matches on Thursday evening to take on Crenshaw Christian. For the second-straight match against the Cougars, the Patriots got the better of the team from Luverne, defeating the Crenshaw, 25-18, 25-15, 25-19.

The win for the Patriots improves their record on the season to 4-5.

Morgan Bundy finished the match with seven hits and two kills, while Aubrey Maulden had six aces and was 100 percent with her serves.

At one point in the match, Maulden scored on 10 straight serves against the Cougars.

The Patriots will remain at home for their next two matches. They will host Macon East next Monday before returning to action the following Monday to host Abbeville.

Both matches will begin with junior varsity beginning at 4 p.m.
