Thursday was “Splish! Splash!” for the kids who participated in the Summer Reading Program at the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge. The program will officially end with an awards and recognition day July 23, but Thursday the children enjoyed a slippery, wet and wild afternoon of water park-type fun. The theme for the summer reading program was “Every Hero Has a Story.” Jennifer Amlong, children’s librarian, said a record number of 150 children registered for program that is designed to encourage children to read year around.
