PLAS students accepted to Alabama Governor’s School

Pike Liberal Arts School had three juniors accepted into this year’s class at The Alabama Governor’s School hosted at Samford University. The Alabama Governor’s School is a summer residential honors program funded by Samford University, the State of Alabama and private sources. Established in 1987, the Alabama Governor’s School is a 13 day summer residential honors program for gifted high school seniors. The criteria for being accepted into the program include an ACT score of 25 or higher, leadership abilities, strong academics, and submission of a quality essay. The Alabama Governor’s School provides academic, creative, and leadership experiences for a limited number of rising high school seniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement in their studies.
