Bulldogs host the Knights

After taking a week off, the Pike County Bulldogs return to action Friday night to take on Montgomery Catholic at Bulldogs Stadium in Brundidge.

The Bulldogs have played in just two games this season, compared to six by the Knights. In Pike County’s two games they have a 1-1 record. In their season opening game against Dadeville, the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 60-14. The Bulldogs fell to Trinity two weeks ago, 26-0.

The Bulldogs will take on a Knights team that rolls into Brundidge with a 4-2 record. After falling to Pike Road in the season opener, the Knights rattled off four straight wins before losing last week to Montgomery Academy.

The Knights offense has averaged 31 points per game, while their defense has allowed 22.5. In their two losses this season, the Knights have allowed a combined 95 points.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2013. The Bulldogs won that meeting 46-14. In their four all-time meetings the series is tied two games apiece.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
