Eagles fall to Childersburg

The Goshen Eagles scored 12 second half points and came up short in a 54-12 loss to Childersburg on Friday night.
Childersburg scored in all four quarters in their win including 27 in the second.
The loss for the Eagles drops them to 0-2 on the season.
The Eagles finished with 138 yards of total offense. They finished with 63 passing yards and 75 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Will Snyder completed one of his six passes for 25 yards while Peyton Stamey finished 3-9 for 38 yards.
TiQuan Hodges led the Eagles rushing attack, rushing for 69 yards on 17 carries. Hodges was responsible for both Goshen touchdowns. He had one rushing touchdown and he also returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.
Jeff Warrick finished with two catches for 16 yards, while Nicholas Walters and Logan Boyce also had catches.
MarQuavious Coleman and Warrick both led the team with eight tackles, while Leon Cowart had four.
The Eagles will be back in action next Friday night when they take on Reeltown in their home opener.
