The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots volleyball team hosted Fort Dale in the season opener on Thursday afternoon. The Patriots took home the second set, but fell to the Eagles 17-25, 25-12, 23-25, 20-25.

Dannah Dawson finished with 16 assists and four aces, while Ally Rushing had 10 assists and seven aces. Grace Rushing had six aces, 10 kills, 10 attacks and one block. Mikalah Griffin finished with 14 attacks, nine kills and two blocks.

The Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Crenshaw.
