Former Charles Henderson Trojan Jabronski Williams made a strong first impression with the Alabama State Hornets during a shortened 2020 season.

After leading the nation in triples, Williams was named in the Baseball America’s Top-50 Names in College Baseball earlier this week.

Williams’ four triples was tied for most in the country with nine other players. Williams played in 15 games for the Hornets before the coronavirus shut down the remainder of the regular season. Williams finished the year second on the team with a .313 batting average in 2020. He finished with 20 hits in 64 at-bats. He finished with nine extra base hits and scored 17 runs. He had three doubles and three home runs to go along with his team-leading four triples.

Williams made a return trip to Troy for a mid-week showdown against the Trojans in late February. He finished the game 2-4 at the plate and picked up one of his three doubles on the season.

The junior was on the third-year list and checked in at number 43 on the list, one spot behind Troy’s Bay Witcher (42).
