Lady Eagles knock off New Brockton

The Goshen Lady Eagles scored 15 fourth quarter points and held off New Brockton 31-25 on Monday night in Goshen.
The Lady Eagles gave fans a reason to celebrate on senior night.
Both offenses were slow out of the gate on Monday. The two teams combined to score just eight first quarter points and the game went into the second tied at 4.
The game went back and forth in the second quarter. Both teams led in the second with neither team leading by more than three. The game went into halftime with the Eagles trailing by two at 12-10.
The Eagles gained their separation in the third quarter. They scored six points in the quarter, but held the Gamecocks scoreless and went into the fourth leading 16-12.
Ajayden Rogers scored six fourth quarter points and the Eagles were able to hold off the Gamecocks by six points.
Rogers finished the game with seven points as did Ella Baker. Carlisha Jackson finished with five points, while Amber Vickers, Amiyah McKee and Kyra Dixon all finished with two points.
The Eagles will close out the regular season on the road against Luverne on Friday.
