The Troy Trojans return home on Saturday to take on Louisiana inside Trojan Arena.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but the inclement weather forced the game to be rescheduled for 11 a.m.
The Trojans knocked off Louisiana Monroe 72-65 on Wednesday night to push their win streak to nine games.
The Trojans haven’t lost a game since they fell to the Duke Blue Devils on November 24. It was the Trojans’ second-consecutive loss after they fell to Mississippi State on November 18.
The Trojans now find themselves 12-2 overall and 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference play after picking up wins against Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State and ULM.
The Trojans have scored at least 70 points in eight straight games and are averaging 80.5 points per game, good enough for 12th best in the country. The Trojans have gotten it done on the glass all season long. They enter the game averaging 55 rebounds over the course of their first 14 games. They have totaled 772 rebounds, the most in the country.
Jasmine Robinson scored 13 points in Troy’s win over the Warhawks. Amber Rivers comes into the game as Troy’s leading scorer, averaging 10.4 points per game. Kayla Robinson averages 10.3 and Japonica James averages 10.1.
The Ragin’ Cajuns defeated South Alabama 73-68 on Thursday and improved to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Brandi Williams averages 13 points per game to lead the Cajuns. Ty’Reona Doucet also averages double figures with 12.3 points per game.
The Trojans won their only meeting last season 90-64. The Trojans are a perfect 6-0 at home this season.
