Patriots knock off No. 2 Autauga Academy

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots picked up an upset in their 58-52 win over No. 2 Autauga Academy inside the Patriot Oven on Thursday evening in Troy.

Three pointers played a role in the Patriot’s win on Thursday. They made eight shots from behind the arc to help secure and hold on to their lead.

The Patriots had three players finish in double figures in the win. Javon Christian led all scorers with 19 points. Christian had three makes from behind the arc. Austin Cross beat out his teammate when he made four three pointers and finished with 14 points. Senior Nick O’Brien finished in double figures with 11.

The Patriots will hit the road to Selma on Friday night to take on Morgan Academy.
