Trojans knock off Luverne

For the second time this month, the Charles Henderson Trojans took on the Luverne Tigers. After losing earlier this month to the Tigers, The Trojans got the better of the Tigers on Monday, winning by a score of 39-37.

The win for the Trojans brings them to 7-6 on the season.

Both teams were neck and neck throughout the game including the first half. Both teams were tied after one quarter of play and again at halftime when it was 16-16.

The difference came in the third quarter when the Trojans outscored the Tigers 11-6. Devin Parker scored four points in the quarter and the Trojans went into the fourth leading 27-22.

The Tigers outscored the Trojans in the fourth quarter, but Charles Henderson held on for the two-point win.

Seven players scored for the Trojans led by Keith Wheeler who finished with nine points. Devin Parker finished with six points, while Zach Henderson had five.

The Trojans will be back in action on Tuesday when they host another familiar opponent in Barbour County.
