The Troy Trojans men’s and women’s basketball teams travel to Chattanooga to take on the Mocs in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams picked up wins on Wednesday, extending their winning streaks to three games.

The Trojan men come into Sunday’s contest with a 4-6 record after they picked up their third-straight win, defeating Jacksonville State 60-55.

Zay Williams led the Trojans with 16 points and senior Darian Adams added 14. Both scorers come into the game on Sunday as the team’s leading scorers.

After averaging 59 points per game in their three-game losing streak, the Trojans have averaged 78 points per game in the last three.

The Trojans and Mocs met previously this season, with Chattanooga getting the better of Troy 74-68 inside Trojan Arena. Williams had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Trojans.

The Mocs enter this game with a 6-5 record after they were defeated by Virginia Tech, 63-58.

Matt Ryan averages 13.8 points per game to lead the Mocs in scoring. He scored 21 points in Troy’s loss in November.

The Troy women knocked off East Tennessee State 79-61 on Wednesday afternoon at Trojan Arena. They enter the game with a 6-2 overall record. Harriet Winchester, Jasmine Robinson each scored 13 points. With Winchester tied for the team lead in scoring, the Trojans have had a different leading scorer in all eight games this season.

The Trojans rank 12th in the country in scoring and fourth in rebounding.

The Mocs lost to South Dakota State 71-56 on Wednesday, dropping them to 1-10 on the year. Their lone win came on the road against Liberty.

Lakelyn Bouldin averages 12 points per game for the Mocs.

The women will begin the doubleheader at 12:30 p.m. with the men following at approximately 3 p.m.
