The Pike County Bulldogs got back to their winning ways on Thursday night with a 57-39 win over Dale County.
The win for the Bulldogs gives them a winning record on the season at 3-2.
Andres Burney kept his double-double streak alive on Thursday night when he finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots. Burney has had a double-double in each of Pike County’s five games this season. He has scored over 20 points in three-straight games.
Burney scored 14 of his points in the opening half and the Bulldogs went into the locker room at halftime leading 29-18.
Burney scored five third quarter points. Despite being outscored in the quarter 11-9, the Bulldogs went into the fourth quarter holding a 38-29 lead.
The Bulldogs had nine different players score on Thursday. Caleb Foster finished with seven points, while Amaghie Lampley finished with six. K’Ahriyus Pennington had five points.
