Patriots end season with a win

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots finished off the regular season with a sweep of Success Unlimited on Monday afternoon in Montgomery.

The Patriots improve their season record to 8-8 after they knocked off the Mustangs 25-12, 25-15, 25-10.

Tonight was a good win for us,” head coach Lana Johnson said. “Our serves were good tonight. We just have to be confident in our hitting.”

Ally Rushing finished the match with 13 aces on her serves, while Mary Ramage finished with 14. Grace Rushing had four kills.

The Lady Patriots now turn their attention to the postseason. They will begin play in the region tournament on Monday on the road against Edgewood in Elmore.

“We must play our best to advance,” Johnson said. “I am proud of our girls and I am confident they will give me their best game tomorrow.”

The game is set for 4 p.m.
