Former Pike Liberal Arts standout golfer Susie Stell earned her first collegiate honor earlier this week when she was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Female Golfer of the Week.

The Eagles swept the award as Stell’s teammate Julius Seifert was named the Men’s golfer of the week.

Stell finished 10^th at the East Tennessee Collegiate when she finished at +11 155 (78, 77).

Stell had a standout career with the Pike Liberal Arts golf team. The Troy native won four straight AISA state championships in her time with the Patriots.

She signed a golf scholarship with Faulkner University in November of 2016.

Stell and the Faulkner University golf team have played in four tournaments so far in the 2019-20 season. Their best finish so far this season came at the Bryan College Invitational when they finished in first place.

Stell and the Eagles will participate in a two-day AAC Fall Preview on October 14^th and 15^th at Chateau Elan in Braselton Georgia.
