Big half lifts Eagles to win

The Goshen Eagles scored 50 first half points in the 57-0 win over the Calhoun Tigers on Friday night in Goshen.

With the game well in hand the Eagles added seven second half points. The win for the Eagles brings their overall record on the season to 6-1 and they are 4-1 in region play.

Quarterback Bryan Galloway completed three of his five passes for 102 yards and had two touchdowns. Will Snyder also completed a pass.

Receiver Tre Dix led the team in receiving yards with 70. Dix, Makel Avery, Dakarai Pelton and Jeff Warrick all had one reception. Avery and Dix each had a receiving touchdown.

TaMarcus Shipmon rushed for 95 yards on 11 carries and had two touchdowns. Galloway rushed for 60 yards on six carries and added two touchdowns.

JaKamron Rumph led the defense with five total tackles and had one sack.

The Eagles will be back in action next week when they travel to take on Central Hayneville beginning at 7 p.m.
