Patriots take on Fort Dale

After celebrating senior night on Monday, the Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots hit the road on Tuesday to take on the Fort Dale Eagles in Greenville.

The varsity squads played a double-match on Tuesday with the Patriots winning the best-of-three-match two games to one, 16-25, 25-20, 16-14. The win improved the Patriots record on the season to 6-6.

Ally Rushing had four aces in the match and was 12-for-12 on her serves. Anna Jordan finished with three aces and was five for six on her serves.

Mary Rushing was 15-16 with six aces and Grace Rushing had five kills.

The Patriots made it a clean sweep of the evening when they won match two, again in three sets, 26-28, 25-14, 15-11.

The win for the Patriots again improved their record on the season to 7-6.

The Patriots will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel to take on Northside. They will finish off the week on Thursday against Macon East. They close out the regular season on October 21 against Success Unlimited.
