Trojans sweep Bulldogs

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans volleyball team traveled to Brundidge on Monday afternoon to take on the rival Pike County Bulldogs.

The Trojans got the better of their long-time rival by sweeping the Bulldogs 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.

“We’ve continued to get better through our season and our confidence and experience is growing,” Trojan head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick said. “I think our energy was good tonight and I look forward to playing Carroll at home tomorrow afternoon.”

Anyla Shipman finished the match with 12 kills and four aces, while Raelynn Shipman had three kills and three aces.

McKenzie Cain finished with 13 digs and 11 aces, while Madison Stewart had three kills.

The Trojans will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Carroll.
