Purple Cats overcome big deficit in win over Daleville

The Ariton Purple Cats overcame a 19-point third quarter deficit in their 55-40 win over Daleville on Friday night in Ariton.
The Purple Cats found themselves trailing 40-21 in the third quarter before rattling off 34 straight points to earn the all-important region win.
The win gives the Purple Cats a 3-2 overall record and an undefeated region record of 3-0.
The Purple Cats finished with 618 total yards, 336 yards came on the ground.
Blake Carroll led the Purple Cats with 160 yards on 21 carries and had five touchdowns. Hayes Floyd had two carries for 74 yards.
Quarterback Ian Senn completed 12 of his 23 passes for 282 yards and had three touchdowns. Both Cade Webb and Floyd hauled in five catches. Floyd had two touchdowns, while Webb had one.
Tommy Oliver, Landon Thrash and Webb led the team in tackles with eight.
The Purple Cats will be back in action next Friday when they travel to take on Slocomb.w
