After starting the season 0-2, the Ariton Purple Cats have rattled off two consecutive wins to pull even at 2-2. They hope to move above the .500 mark with a win over Daleville this evening.

After falling to both Dale County and Goshen, Ariton (2-2, 2-0) entered last week knowing this current stretch of football would be key in climbing the ranks within Class 2A Region 2. The Purple Cats began the stretch with a 54-19 win over Geneva County and followed it up a home win over Houston County last week.

The Purple Cats are averaging 34 points per game over the course of the season. On defense, they are allowing 29 points per game.

The Purple cats, unofficially, are 1-4 all time against Daleville. Their only win came last year when they defeated the Warhawks 42-20.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Robert F. Zumstein Stadium in Ariton.
