Patriots hope to snap three-game losing streak

The Pike Liberal Arts hit the road for the first of three-straight games on Friday night when they travel to take on Macon-East.
The Patriots will play just their second region game on Friday when they take on the Knights at Knight Field. The Patriots began region play last Friday night with a 30-13 loss to Northside Methodist in Troy.
The Patriots’ overall record sits at 1-3. They have dropped their last three games after opening the season with a 34-27 win on the road against Morgan Academy.
Stopping the run has been the problem for the Patriots during their three-game losing streak. Last Friday night, the Patriots allowed a rushing touchdown of 34 yards. They also allowed a 55-yard run late in the first half to allow another touchdown.
The Patriots defense has allowed 33 points per game during their three-game losing streak.
The Knights come into the game largely untested after playing just two games this season. After having two bye weeks in the season’s first four weeks, the Knights have a 2-0 record. They are coming off a 41-7 win over region foe Fort Dale in Greenville last week. They opened up their season two weeks prior with a 42-19 win over Hooper Academy in Hope Hull.
The Patriots knocked off the Senators a season ago 10-6. It was their fifth straight win in what turned out to be a 7-0 start to the season.
