Goshen defeats Samson

The Goshen Eagles fell behind 6-0 in the first quarter but went on to knock off Samson 42-21 on Friday night.

The win for the Eagles gives them a 3-0 overall record and a 2-0 record in region play.

Quarterback Bryan Galloway completed seven of his 10 passes for 58 yards. Galloway led the rushing attack as well by picking up 228 yards on 16 carries, while picking up two touchdowns. Tamarcus Shipmon also reached the century mark by rushing for 169 yards on 17 carries and had two touchdowns.

RaQuan Martin led the Eagles with three receptions for 22 yards.

After falling behind 6-0, the Eagles scored their first touchdown of the game in the second quarter when Galloway scampered in for a 63-yard touchdown. The Eagles went into the half leading 7-6.

Samson briefly retook the lead  before Martin rushed his way in for the score to give Goshen a 14-12 lead in the third quarter.

The Eagle lead remained at two heading into the fourth quarter. The Eagles outscored Samson 28-9 in the fourth quarter. Samson had touchdowns by Bryan Galloway, who scored twice, Martin and Shipmon.

The Eagles will host New Brockton in Goshen next Friday night.
