The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2019-2020 men’s basketball conference schedule on Thursday.

Troy’s schedule will consist of 20 conference games this upcoming season. According to Troy Athletics, it marks the first time since the 2014-2015 season that each team will have 20 conference games.

The schedule will stick to a format that sees most of the games being played on Thursdays and Saturdays. Like last year, men’s and women’s basketball teams will play on the same night, but the games will be played at different home sites. In the case of rivalry games, they will be scheduled as double-headers.

Troy will begin conference play on December 19 when they host Appalachian State. They will close out the 2019 slate of conference games two days later at home against Coastal Carolina. They return to full-time conference play on January 2 on the road against Louisiana Monroe.

Troy will host instate rival South Alabama on Saturday, February 8 and then will travel to Mobile to take on the Jaguars on Saturday February 29.

The Trojans will close out the regular season at home against new head coach Scott Cross’ former team UT Arlington on March 3.

Game time for each conference game is still to be announced.

Troy finished last season 12-18 overall and 5-13 in conference play.
