Junior varsity Trojans fall twice to Rehobeth

The Charles Henderson junior varsity Trojans hosted the Rehobeth Rebels in a double-header on Tuesday afternoon.

The Trojans allowed Rehobeth to score in all four innings during their 15-2 loss to the Rebels in game one.

The Trojans allowed five runs in both the third and fourth innings leading to the 13-run deficit.

Brady Huner pitched 2.2 innings on Tuesday afternoon. He allowed nine runs, four of which were earned on seven hits and on walk. He struck out four batters.

Dalton Stephens and Adrian Cardwell also got on the mound for the Trojans.

The Trojan offense was held to three hits in the loss. Bailey Sparrow, Cam Foley and Zach Henderson all had hits for the Trojans.

After falling behind 5-0 heading into the bottom of the second inning, the Trojans got on the board. Foley led off the inning with a single and came around to score two batters later on a double by Henderson, putting the Patriots on the scoreboard. Two batters later, Henderson came around to score on an RBI groundout by Deondrey Henderson.

The Rebels pulled away after scoring 10 more runs over the course of the final two innings.

The Rebels’ two runs in the third were enough in their 2-1 win over the Trojans in game two.

Foley pitched five innings for the Trojans and gave up two runs on four hits.

The Trojans finished with four hits. Foley finished with two hits, while Press Jefcoat and and Catnlow each had one.

Down 2-0 in the bottom of the first, the Trojans cut their deficit in half when Brady Huner scored on an error. The Trojans had the tying and winning run on base, but the rally fell short.
