Eagles improve to 8-1 after 3-0 weekend finish

The Goshen Eagles finished the Squadron Round Robin 3-0 after they picked up wins against rival Pike County and McKenzie on Friday. They knocked off Florala on Saturday.
The Eagles began Friday with a 12-2 win over the rival Bulldogs. They knocked off McKenzie 10-6.
The Eagles finished game one with nine hits led by Danny Cooper, who finished with three singles. Carson Williams finished with two singles, while McGwire Stanley, Caleb Gamble, Logan Boyce and Bryce Williams all finished with one hit.
The Eagles finished game two with 11 hits. Jeff Warrick finished with 3-4 with three singles. Stanley picked up a double, a triple and also walked in the win.
The Eagles closed out the Squadron Round Robin with an 8-0 win over the Florala Wildcats on Saturday.
Goshen racked up seven hits in the win. The Eagles had Tyler Williams, Warrick and Bryce Williams pickup multiple hits. The Eagles finished with 10 stolen bases in the game led by Bryce Williams, who had two.
Blake Saupe pitched all seven innings and finished with 11 strikeouts with one walk.
The Eagles were scheduled to take on Elba on Monday, but the game was cancelled due to poor weather. They will take on Pleasant Home this afternoon beginning at 4 p.m.
