A four-run inning by Ashford led to a 4-3 loss for the Goshen Lady Eagles in game one of the Wicksburg High School Invitational.

The Lady Eagles (5-5) held 2-0 in the top of the third, but a four-run bottom of the third was too much to overcome in the four-inning contest.

Hannah Calhoun got the start in game one and pitched a complete game, while allowing the four runs on six hits and a walk.

The Eagles began the scoring in the first with a Madison Campbell double, driving in Calhoun.

In the next half-inning, Ashford took the lead when they scored four runs on four hits, including a three-run home run to center to give them the lead at 4-3.

Campbell finished the contest with the only two hits for the Goshen Eagles.
