Patriots host Lee-Scott

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots picked up their second consecutive win on Tuesday night when they knocked off Lee-Scott 49-38 in Troy.

The win for the Patriots pushes their overall record on the season to 2-3 after they started the season winless in their first three games.

After going into halftime trailing by one at 20-19, the Trojans outscored Lee-Scott 18-8 in the third quarter and went into the fourth leading 30-26.

Max Copeland led the Patriots with 16 points, while Javon Christian had 13 and Ty Singleton had eight.

The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots fell to Lee-Scott 62-30 on Tuesday afternoon in Troy.

The loss for the Lady Patriots drops their overall record on the season to 5-3.

The Lady Patriots were able to score in double figures in two quarters on Tuesday evening.

After being outscored in the first quarter 12-4, the Lady Patriots went into the locker room at halftime trailing 28-15.

The Lady Patriots again put up 11 points in the third quarter, but was outscored in the second half 34-15.

Seven total Patriots got on the board in the loss. Shelby Renfroe led the way with nine points, while Tiffany Johnson finished with six. Caroline Senn and Sarah Todd each finished with four points.

Both of the Patriot squads will be back in action in the Macon East Tournament on Friday.
