Patriots host home opener

The Pike Liberal Arts varsity girls and boy’s basketball teams split with Success Unlimited in the home opener on Monday night.
The Lady Patriots knocked off Success Unlimited 51-13, before the boys fell to the Mustangs 57-49.
With the win, the Lady Patriots improve their record to 5-2 on the season.
The Lady Patriots had a total of nine players score on Monday. Shelby Renfroe led the way with 17 points and also had three rebounds and two steals. Ansley Adams added nine points, with three steals and three rebounds. Lakin Harrell had eight points, while Tiffany Johnson had six points and two steals.
Caroline Senn had four points, Tanna Singleton had three points and 11 rebounds. Sarah Todd Floyd, Kacie Bell and Haley O’Brian each had two points.
The Patriot boys dropped to 0-3 on the season with their eight-point loss to the Mustangs.
Javon Christian led the Patriots with 19, while Max Copeland added 14. Jade Sikes scored seven for the Patriots.
The Patriots will take a bit of break before returning to action on December 3 at home against Crenshaw Christian Academy.
