Troy redshirt-junior running back Jamarius Henderson is no longer on the football team, officials with the program confirmed on Wednesday night.

The junior saw limited action this season and was suspended indefinitely following Troy’s opening loss to Boise State for a violation of team rules.

In Troy’s loss against Boise State, Henderson rushed for 30 yards on eight carries.

Henderson entered the season as one of Troy’s top running backs after he rushed for 355 yards on 45 carries and had four touchdowns in 2017. He also hauled in 11 receptions for 95 yards.

Henderson came to Troy after playing one season with the Memphis Tigers. As a freshman, Henderson rushed for 320 yards on 60 carries and was the team’s fourth leading rusher.

This season’s suspension was Henderson’s second during his short stint with the Trojans. The running back was suspended during preseason camp in 2017.
