Lady Eagles reach .500 mark with win over Zion Chapel

The Goshen Lady Eagles volleyball team swept the Zion Chapel Rebels on Monday night by scoresĀ 25-17, 25-19 and 25-12.
The win for the Eagles improves their record to 4-4 on the season.
Julie Johns finished with four points scored, five kills, six blocks and two digs, while Lydia Harrison had one ace, five points scored, three kills and eight blocks,
Kate Warrick had three aces, seven points scored, two kills, 11 assists, four blocks and five digs. Hannah Calhoun finished with three aces, 19 points scored, two kills and 24 digs. Molly Wares completed the match with two points scored, three kills, one assist and 15 digs, while Anastasia Mallard finished with five kills, two blocks and two digs.
Olivia Kyzar finished with four aces, nine points scored, one kill, 10 assists and four digs, while Jamecia Berry had five kills, seven blocks and one dig.
Junior high fell to the Rebels 10-25 and 11-25, giving them an overall record of 2-2. The junior varsity Eagles also fell on Monday dropping their overall record to 0-4.
The Eagles will be back in action this evening when they travel to take on Luverne to open up area play,
