The Troy Ponytails got their district tournament underway on Saturday morning. They played two games and finished the day 1-1 after picking up a 6-3 win over Zion Chapel before losing the night cap 7-3 to Greenville.

Kylan Wilkerson got the start for Troy in game one. Wilkerson allowed just two hits and struck out 12 batters.

Troy had Madison Allen, Maison Picton, Molly Garrett, Zoe Warren all score a run, while Mary Hayden West scored two.

Troy finished with five hits against Zion Chapel led by Allen who went 2-2.

After Troy’s 7-3 loss To Greenville, Troy will head to the loser’s bracket and play at 7 p.m. on Monday.
