“I thought Sadie pitched very well,” said CHMS Assistant Coach James Sparrow. “She hit her spots, and any time you strike out nine batters in a game there are not a lot of base runners. The biggest upside for us was we finally started hitting the ball throughout the lineup. We had been struggling to string hits together this season in games, but the girls were finally able to do it today. We really came out of our shell hitting the ball.”

Sparrow believes the Lady Trojans have great potential for the future, as in addition to Leverette, they have received strong pitching this year from Stella Gilbreath, Hannah Sparrow, Olivia Kirkpatrick and others.

CHMS will be at Wicksburg Monday.
