Lady Trojans storm back to beat Opp

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans scored a run in the top of the seventh inning to knock off Opp on Tuesday evening in Opp.
The win for the Trojans improves their record on the season to 1-1.
Emma Kirkpatrick pitched four innings for the Trojans. She allowed three total runs, two of which were earned. She allowed eight hits, but struck out five batters. Sydni Garrett finished off the remaining final three innings. Garrett threw three innings of no-hit softball while striking out eight batters.
The Trojans finished with seven hits in the win. Sidney Armstrong, Tucker Earles and Molly Kate Sanders each went 2-4 at the plate, while Sanders had two RBIs. Kirkpatrick also had one hit.
The Trojans found themselves down 3-1 heading into the fifth inning. The Trojans evened the score on a two-run triple by Earles, scoring both Armstrong and Garrett.
In the seventh inning with the game still tied, Sanders hit what would be a game-winning double to score Earles.
The Trojans will be back in action this evening when they host Northview beginning at 5 p.m.
