The Pike County Lady Bulldogs overcame a competitive loss to Carroll on Monday with a 31-26 win over Bullock County at home on Tuesday night.
“You have to have the right mindset in these tough games we have been playing,” said head coach Todd Reynolds. “You can use it to work on some things and when you play a team that isn’t as dominant you should start seeing some success. That is what we were able to do.”
The Bulldogs lost to Carroll on Monday 62-46.
“It was nip and tuck,” Reynolds said. “It was a seven-point game at halftime. They had a little bit more offense in the second half. That was on the road, but we had a really good game. We used it as fuel on Tuesday.”
The Bulldogs had a 15-10 lead at halftime on Tuesday thanks to holding Bullock County to just three points in the second quarter.
Precious Vaznaian had 12 points and eight rebounds. Kyah Rouse finished with 11 points and Tajh Boyd had six.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday when they host Barbour County.
