Trojans set spring practice schedule

The Troy Trojans are getting set to begin their 2017 Spring Practice on March 16.

The Trojans will practice from March 16 through April 15. The camp will feature a total of 12 practices as well as two scrimmages leading up to the T-Day Game on April 15.

“We took a big step last season in rebuilding this program,” said Troy head coach Neal Brown told Troytrojans.com. “We have celebrated those accomplishments, have continued to make progress during our offseason program, and now we are excited about getting back on the practice field.”

Practices will start each day beginning at 3:45 p.m. Throughout the month of practice, the Trojans will have theme nights that will include: Family Weekend on March 18, Professors Day on March 21, First Responders Day on March 27 and High School Coaches Chalk Talk on April 4.

Along with the T-Day Game, the Trojans will put on two scrimmages on March 31 at 7 p.m. for Students Night and on Alumni Weekend on April 8.

The Troy Trojans are coming off their best season in their FCS history by reaching the 10 win threshold for the first time.

During their run, the Trojans became the first team in Sun Belt Conference history to be ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
