The Pike County Bulldogs advanced to the regional semi-finals with a 61-53 win over Geneva on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs will face Hillcrest-Evergreen on Saturday.
“I am just proud of the team effort against a good Geneva team,” said Bulldogs head coach Doug Holland. “I told them it’s all about advancing during this time of year. Going back to regionals was one of our goals. I told them it’s one game at a time.”
Two Bulldogs scored in double figures: Jahzarian Lampley who had 22 points and Uri Rouse with 11. Xavier Newson and Jaiden Wilson both scored eight.
The Bulldogs led in all four quarters. Lampley got the Bulldogs off to a good start when he scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half. The Bulldogs cruised into halftime holding a 35-20 lead.
