The Charles Henderson Trojans volleyball team ended their season on Thursday afternoon when they fell to Demopolis 26-24, 21-25, 13-25, 18-25 in the opening round of the Class 5A Super Regionals in Montgomery.

The Trojans ended the regular season with a 3-20 record and advanced to the Class 3A Super Regionals after defeating Greenville in the area tournament on Tuesday.

“We had our ups and we had our downs,” said Trojans head coach Jennifer Sikes. “Our serving was really good today. In the four games we had six that were either in the net or out.”

The Trojans finished with nine serves overall and also had a good day when it came to kills. Lindsay Fox finished with eight kills while Abigail Salmon finished with seven.

Rose Snyder finished with nine points with three aces. Addison Bryan had four points with three aces. Tanner Moore and Tucker Earles both had five points.

“We didn’t get some of the breaks,” Sikes said. “That’s where it killed us and they got down on themselves. It just wasn’t their day.”
