Bulldogs win third straight

The Pike County Bulldogs won their third consecutive match as they defeated the Barbour County Jaguars in straight sets Monday.

Short a starter, The Bulldogs rallied and won the match 25-12, 25-22, 25-20.

“Our spikers did well today,” said Bulldogs head coach Todd Reynolds. “Precious Vaznaian had 15 kills and Mercedes Harvis had eight. They were killing the ball tonight.”

Senkeithia Thompson also had a good night for the Bulldogs, compiling a total of 18 service points.

The Bulldogs are heading down the home stretch of the regular season and are playing their best ball of the season.

“Your ultimate goal is to finish as well as you can,” Reynolds said. “They have achieved that and we have won three in a row.

The Bulldogs will travel to take on Abbeville next Monday at 4:30 p.m. and will close out the regular season with a road trip to Carroll to take on the Eagles.
