“I hope they learn to fight,” Warrick said. “I hope they learn that they can’t quit on something. This is the type of competition that we are going to see, and that we are going to have to learn how to beat if we want to go any further.”

The junior varsity eagles improved to 9-1 on the season after they defeated the Purple Cats in three sets 10-25, 25-12, 15-13.

“They came out and looked awful the first game,” Warrick said. “They couldn’t’ t adjust, but they got themselves together and adjusted. I was really proud of how they fought and gathered together.”

Briona Burden finished with four aces, 10 points scored, 14 assists and one kill, while Molly Wares had one ace three points scored, five kills and three digs. Brooke Bennett had two aces, two points scored, 2 kills and four digs.

The junior high eagles fell to 4-3 on the year after losing in straight sets 18-25, 20-25.
