“It was fresh off of the showroom floor,” Sheriff Russell Thomas said.

“The victim had only had it for two weeks before it was stolen from under his carport in the dark of night while he and his family slept.”

Barr was also arrested in connection with the robbery of a chicken coop in which an outboard boat motor, rabbit cage, duck decoys and 12 rabbits were stolen.

Thomas said that they anticipate making another arrest soon of a juvenile involved in the case.

Further investigation is ongoing as to whether the suspects are connected to any other incidents.

Barron and Barr were released on property bond and Petty remains in jail.
